Falling in Fall
September 25th, 2009 by Angela
Apparently it is officially fall here in NYC.
This is because it is after Labor Day not because someone has told the weather. Seriously it is SO hot again. Today is breezy at least but I still haven't had a chance to wear my amazing TopShop duffle coat.
Sob.
Poor Angela.
Last week, all the new fall (AUTUMN, I KNOW!) TV shows started over here. It's so different to the UK - basically, all the new shows start within a couple of weeks of each other and they battle it out, head to head and everywhere you look there are ads for the new shows and returning old shows. It's so cut-throat. The ones with the lowest ratings get axed, just like that. My main issue is that Gossip Girl is on at the same time as Heroes. How am I meant to choose between Chuck Bass and Peter Petrelli? I cannot. House is on at the same time too but I just can't get my head around Hugh Laurie with an American accent, I'm sorry.
I've already bailed on the new Melrose Place and season two of 90210, there just isn't enough of me to go around. Thank the lord I know a cute boy with TiVo.
And praise be that America's Next Top Model doesn't clash with anything.
Ooh, that reminds me, I want to say thanks so much for all the comments you leave and the emails you send. You're all hilarious and should definitely write a book or a blog - at least tweet, people!
Anyway, I'm getting all kinds of super excited about my birthday, it's coming up in a week! Lots planned, Micachu on the Friday night, facial at Bliss on the Saturday (the actual Big Day) and then off to see The Pains of Being Pure at Heart (swoon) in the evening. And I'm allowed to buy myself some birthday presents, right?
I'm craving boots, any ideas? Please send me any and all autumnal fashion must-have suggestions. I miss Grazia!
