I'm a bad person
October 16th, 2009 by Angela
Oh Lord, I'm so sorry, I've been horribly neglecting you. It's really crazy, my life in London was so incredibly quiet and peaceful and well, boring, while New York is sheer madness. I have missed the last TWO epsiodes of Gossip Girl due to happy hour margaritas. It's really not OK, is it?
Anyway, it really is the most amazing city. I'm loving so many things right now, including the crazy sales. Who doesn't love 40% of Marc Jacobs handbags? Time for an upgrade, me thinks. Please Mr Credit Card, don't fail me now!
I also found a JC Penney the other day when I was trying to buy a kettle (no one has one. No one. It's disgusting.) and it's a little bit like Primark but with nicer homewares. The weird thing was, I bought a shirt for ten dollars and my roommate made me swear not to tell anyone where I got it. I was like, really? We are SO proud of our Primarni purchases in the UK and if someone compliments me on my shirt, shouldn't I be loud and proud about where I got it?
The filthy, filthy look on her face said no...
Part of the madness of the last few weeks was happily my birthday. We all went to see my favourite, favourite band The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and then off to sing karaoke. Really, it's good for the soul. The gin cocktails I made before went out, not so much.
What's your favourite karaoke song? I need to widen my repetoire... and any new bands you think I should know about?
Mood: Narcoleptic in the city that never sleeps
Currently listening to: The Pains again... seriously, check them out, they're amazing.

Was saying to Angela "Go girl " after she found Mark in the car. I might react like that if in same situation.October 25th, 2009 by Ontibile
