Being Sick Sucks
December 19th, 2009 by Angela
No, really. It SUCKS. There isn't an appropriate English term for being ill during everyone's holiday parties. I've had this ridiculous stomach bug for three straight days and I can't keep any food down. Not even Lucky Charms. I repeat, not Even Lucky Charms. It's quite scary.
Luckily, my Christmas spirit hasn't been completely hampered since I've managed to fit in The Nightmare Before Christmas, Empire Records, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and um, The Jonas Brothers 3D Concert from my sickbed. So that's been nice... We're also expecting snow tomorrow which actually has me bouncing up and down with joy (or it would if bouncing didn't result in vomming). I've been SO jealous of all the news of UK snow over the last couple of days but New York being the most practical city in the world, has waited until the weekend to give us our first flurries. I promise you pictures.
And um, apologies to the upstairs neighbours that came to borrow the vacuum cleaner while I was in my red sparkly pj bottoms, green knitted Uggs, grey sweatshirt, specs and three days dirty hair while watching The Jonas Brothers. I'm not on loads and loads of drugs, I'm sick. And before you judge the infirm, maybe you should go and buy your own vacuum cleaner.
Oh dear, looks like that burst of festive fever was only fleeting. Promise to blog again when I'm in a better mood...
Mood: SICK, grumpy and wondering how the middle Jonas Brother keeps his hair so straight during sweaty concerts.
Currently listening to: the inside of the toilet bowl

I dont know why you are jealous of the snow we've had over here in the UK - Looks nice when you are inside looking out but actually being out in it is not so good especially when it has now turned to Ice! At least the transport system in New York wont come to a standstill like it does in/around London. Ggggrrrrrrrr! Get well soon x
