The sun is shining and the snow is gone! At least until tomorrow... but hurrah for March. I always, always get shafted by March. Annually, I'm convinced that first of March means first of spring and it really doesn't, does it? It's chuffing freezing. So someone had the bright idea to offer to appartment-sit for her Brooklyn boyfriend while he went off on tour. Not offer to go on tour with him, oh no, that would have been too much like a good idea (hello southern hemisphere and actual sunshine) but just to hang out in his gorgeous Williamsburg apartment, try and get some work done and make sure no one robbed his priceless collection of take-out ...more

Sometimes I feel like my previous life never existed, that I've always lived in New York, known the people that I know, done the things that I do but nope, there was a time when all I did was sit in a terraced maisonette in Deepest, Darkest Surburbia in my PJs, watching Come Dine With Me.
Today I wrote a list of all the things I do in New York that I never did in London...
