Thom Bar is the marginally less exclusive bar inside 60 Thompson. A lovely little lounge with lots of nooks and crannies to get lost in. Preferably with a hot man and a cold drink.
To get up to the celebtastic roof terrace, you either need to be staying at the hotel, know the name of the doorman, or be wearing something teeny tiny.
But trust me, it's totally worth disregarding half a century...more

This former speakeasy makes the best place for a date in the whole of New York. A tiny bar fronts a long, narrow passageway filled with intimate booths where the young and the hot drink cool cocktails.
Be brave and go for the bartender's choice, it's always amazing.
Get there early, or ring ahead if you want a booth - this place gets so busy after 10.00p.m., you might not get a table....more

You've all heard of Bungalow 8, right? Well, if you're up for it, strap on your best heels and brave that velvet rope. The best times to chance your luck are midweek, when it's a little quieter - Monday or Tuesday aren't too busy. If you make it past the doorman, be prepared to flex your credit card and be prepared to party hard, the celebs won't rock up before midnight. It's not cheap, but it's c...more
