Ahh, Union Square. For me, this is where New York started.

It's also a great base for any holiday. The subway is right on your doorstep, taxis are always running up and down Park and you're within walking distance of a whole lot of sights. And shops. THE HUDSON

Heading a little further uptown, The Hudson is a great choice if you're shopping tastes are more Barneys and Bergdorf, not to mention it's mere blocks from Tiffany.

The Hudson prides itself on being 'cheap chic', but that's cheap by New York standards, i.e. not very. It is however, beautiful and totally worth the money. The rooms are on the small side, but you're getting a really swanky payoff ...more
